Mariam & Niko
ONDA Founder & Partner
The idea for ONDA had been brewing in Mariam’s mind for years and was just waiting to be brought to life.
She wanted to create a place that feels like home, both for clients and employees—a place where clients and professionals connect with one another as human beings.
In 2022, she decided to stop just thinking about it and bring her dreams to life. That’s how our wonderful ONDA was born!
Mariam has been running her own beauty business since 2007, specializing in nails, eyelashes, and eyebrows, so even though she isn’t a hairdresser, she has extensive experience and training in the field.
Niko is a hairstylist who moved to Australia from Colombia at a young age.
He began working at his mother’s salon when he was just a young boy.
One of Niko’s greatest passions is hair and personal development. He also serves as an ambassador for Eleven Australia and K18, as well as a trainer.
Niko trains and continues his own education around the world.
In 2024, Mariam and Niko crossed paths, and from the very first moment, they both felt that they were meant to do this together. As time went on, that feeling and conviction only grew stronger
, and finally, in early summer 2025, they joined forces and Niko became a partner at Ondo.
Mariam and Niko’s visions, hopes, and goals align seamlessly. They both share a clear common goal—
—which is to create something that has never been seen in this area before!
They are passionate about aesthetic creativity, which they approach with great heart and always with a customer-first mindset.
We've come a long way so far, but our journey to the stars has only just begun!

Lux Artist leads the team and helps other Artists develop in their careers.

Please note that when you call the store, we may all be very busy and may not always be able to answer the phone.
Do you only make Blondes?
No. Our professionals are highly trained to achieve results in a wide range of colors.
Do you offer free consultations?
Yes! We want to make sure you receive exactly the right kind of service, tailored specifically to your needs, which is why we offer a free consultation to everyone. Every service also includes a consultation before we begin our active work.
Do I need to wash my hair before I arrive?
We recommend that you arrive with clean, dry hair, unless the service itself includes a hair wash.
Do you have parking spaces?
Paid street parking is available right near our store, as well as at Hietalahti Market Square across the street, where there are plenty of spots and you’re almost certain to find a parking space.
What if I'm late?
If you are running late, please contact the salon directly.
We may still be able to accommodate you if you are up to 15 minutes late, but if you are later than that, we may have to reschedule your appointment so that we can provide you with the full service. In this case, however, we will charge you 100% of the service price.
